Have you lost your way?
Stuck in a body health rut?
Well I hear you loud and clear! I too felt like this only two years ago until I woke up to myself and kicked that fear and endless list of excuses from my head.
Let’s go back to 2013… where my body had become stuck. I knew I was tired all the time, generally unhappy when I woke up. I thought I was trying really hard to get it going. My body function was average meaning my digestion was also lazy and my energy was non-existent. I was fearful of wearing shorts let alone (denim shorts) as my thighs would rub together. My arms were weak and beginning to wobble when I waved which was highly embarrassing. But I was training everyday cardio running with the pram, walking and boxing. I was racing my mountain bike and eating pretty good. So what was I doing wrong? I would say to myself sadly when I would look in the mirror.
I’d had actually succumbed to this body cause and I thought to myself this is how my body will be after two kids… plus I am working full time … it will just have to do.
Sound familiar?
Then one day I found it, that sparkle, that glimmer of hope, that inner drive I had deep inside.
It also started with my self-talk. This is the most important step of body change. You must change the way you look and talk to yourself in the mirror and that constant recitation.
STEP one: Tell your self this everyday.
- You are not the victim of this!
- You do not have to live like this!
- You do not have to make do with thigh chaff!
- I will not put up with this any longer!
- I deserve better!
- I am better than this!
- I will make this happen it’s my choice to put that crap in my mouth! (because truthfully you are eating lots of food that is not required) and these excuses do not cut it.
- Get your s&*t together …………your name✔
STEP two:
Stop eating extra food, or leftovers, like the kids crusts of bread, those last few cookies in the packet, those rice crackers, anything extra the kids leave on their plate.
Put it away or throw it out.
You are not wasting food you are helping yourself!
STEP three:
Exercise every morning when you wake up for 30 minutes.
STEP four:
Drink a glass of water before and after every single meal.
STEP five:
Find more active things to do on the weekend for all the family.
Bike rides, walks, skipping, running, chasing games.
