Less of ‘oh that will do’ ~ more of ‘let’s do this!’ b.x
b.truth➡️ everyday night you go to sleep you get the opportunity to reset… because the next day you can be whatever you want✔️ so go on ‘let’s do this!’
Ever think to yourself: Oh that will do…
Your nodding right now aren’t you? When we allow ourselves this mind set we automatically switch off to completing our best effort.
Train your brain to NOT be a ‘that will do’ brain. Some of us need help in doing this. Help can come from asking someone to evaluate the effort you put into things. Let’s look at a simple example of completing a fitness circuit.
You are required to complete a full three sets of 6 exercise with 12 repetitions . You complete the first set properly counting properly and ensuring you do all exercise correctly. But then the second set comes and you only do 8-10 of each exercise and you play on your phone or you waste sometime and then the third sets comes and you only do 4 of the exercises and the between 6-8 repetitions and not doing them properly.
Sound familiar? Then you wonder why your body is not getting the shape you want? Do you see now why? This is the ‘oh that will do’ attitude that will NOT get you what you want. This attitude can also follow suit into other parts of your life and this attitude is also easily viewed in others. So get rid of it fast.
How can you get rid of it?
- accept that your brain has switched to it and change it to instead say ‘do it properly’.
- ask a friend to help you achieve your best effort
- evaluate yourself often
- always try better time and time again
GET a ‘let’s do this’ attitude comes with the realisation that you are not a victim and that everyday is a new opportunity to start a fresh, to try again, to do it better, to take a chance to make a difference.
Let’s do this!
