PERFECT PORTIONS

Do you feel bloated?

It could be a very simple problem in your portions (amount of food you eat at each meal time).

Our stomachs are initially the size of your own two hands interlinked together or a small coconut shell. Therefore many of us have been taught over time to consume way too much food and our stomachs are then working overtime to process food in our bodies.

The repercussions of this are very interesting-

We develop excess acid in our stomach to breakdown the food

CAUSING

  • Bloating and acid induced ulcers
  • Heart burn
  • Fatigue due to developing the acid
  • Stomach pain and mood swings

We develop a habit of over eating

CAUSING

  • Weight gain
  • Sugar cravings
  • Other triggers of addiction

This then becomes a cycle of over eating that can be simply changes in training you body again.

TIPS-

  • Use a small plate
  • Take away containers are deceiving – place food from container into a small bowl – most of the time they are almost 3 serving of food.
  • Small snack containers – children sized containers are perfect even for men!
