This exercise has a difficulty rating * 9 – as your trunk or (core) must be totally activated to complete. Your legs should be approx. shoulder width apart and your head must be focused on the exercise. This exercise uses a whole combinations of muscles therefore making your body fatigue fast. It is a great morning exercise as your body is completely rested.
Step one – stand on one leg, knee ready to push behind and hold 5 sec (see image) Hold medicine ball at chest and push up above head. Bring medicine ball back to chest position.
Step two- kick leg out and hold medicine ball to chest (see image) Hold for 5 secs
Step three – push medicine ball in arm extension (see image) Hold for 5 secs
Complete a set of 10 of these on each side of your body and then swap legs.
Complete this exercise with any of the other b. medicine ball combinations.
TIP : Ensure you stretch your hips after this exercise as it uses a lot of hip flexor and can cause tightness in this area.
