Grass Running – benefits for women

Grass running provides less impact on muscles and joints. This is particularly important for women – as our hips and pelvis ligaments loosen during times over the month which creates tenderness in these joints.

Due to post birth / age /  and overuse – I have noticed changes in my hips and pelvis where I get light pain around ovulation and during my cycle.  This is the loosing of the ligaments.  I find running and jumping difficult at these times as my hips can NOT handle it.

To remain consistent with training I simply make my training work for me.  I will do light walks on grass, beach walks, use the air walker machines or bike in the gym to complete the workout.  So don’t wait for your body to feel amazing to train – work with your body and alter your program.

Coming soon is my abdominals throughout the month — by the way…they are NOT always good.
