Body image is your image and no one elses. b.x
Body image is the image of you in your head.
Only you can choose the way your body looks.
Nobody can tell you ~ this is how you should look or will look.
Your body can only be created to become your best body and nothing compares to being your OWN best.
I wanted to share with you how I changed my mindset to gain better body image after having children. I also share these tips with the children and youth I teach daily. These steps helped me create a better fitness and food lifestyle habits in the process.
Mindset:
Think health not weight loss
This means look for things that improve your health rather than things giving you weight loss. A goal of weight loss creates a negative mind set which seems unachievable most of the time and this is reason many give up. However, if you make changes to help your health like goals of gaining better sleep, creating less mucus or feeling more energized the goal becomes more achievable.
Look for your beauty in the mirror
When we look in the mirror we generally look for faults for example; your hair is not right, your have pimple, or mascara on your eyelid, then we start to pick on major things like our nose it too pointed or our arms are floppy and then we look at cellulite on your thighs and we begin to think we are totally at a loss.
So rather than looking for the imperfections look for the perfections >
Think ‘Wow my teeth are clean today, my eyes look bright, my nails are in such good condition etc. > you will begin to see only the good every time you look in the mirror.
Write one great thing down about yourself each day
If you write or say one thing wonderful about yourself each day like:
- You are smart
- You are kind
- You are trying your best
Your start to believe it and your body will reward you for the self-belief. You are showing your internal positivity and happy mind set begins to explode out of you and people will feel better around you and your body will reward you for it.
Inspiration:
- Inspire to be healthy for someone else.
- Think of your body as a car and food is fuel.
- Would you feed that to your young child?
- Take notes on how your feel after food > inclusive of stomach, mood and brain.
How to change your body image mindset in 7 steps:
- Every time you go to eat something sugary think of the sugar taking the health from your skin and eyes.
- Think of scattered brain and solemn mood after eating sugar
- Drink a glass of water to curb the crave
- Have some sliced apple
- Drink a chocolate protein shake
- Make a homemade smoothie
- Eat a protein ball or handful of almonds or blueberries
b.truth>>> I had no idea what my best body would look like and I am happy with the body I have today. Some days, I do find it to be too muscular and other days I find it to be bloated but its my body and it is a reflection of my mindset that day of my body.
You may have your own view of my body but I’m sorry I don’t care what you think about my body > you are entitled to your opinion but please don’t speak it aloud.
I only see and care for the beauty in every person.
Health and Happiness always,
b.x
